I've decided to only have two activities. Using the iPads to go through an online activity would make that activity rely on the internet connection, and I don't want to have any technical difficulties during my presentation.
However, for my second activity, I'll be having everyone write a letter to the family of Henrietta Lacks. The Lacks family has received little recognition for Henrietta's contribution to science, and no monetary compensation for her cells either. Using the information I teach them, everyone will write a letter thanking the Lacks family for their understanding, and acknowledging the impact HeLa cells have had.
